Matthias Niggli

👋 Hi, I’m Matthias.

I am interested in Machine Learning & AI, Data Science, Economics, Innovation and the interpaly of all these fields.

I work as Senior Data Scientist at Galenica and am a Guest Lecturer at Swiss Universities and Universities of Applied Sciences. Sometimes I also give talks and presentations on AI, Labor Markets, Innovation and Work. You can find an overview of all courses and selected talks here.

Previously, I was a Senior Machine Learning Engineer & AI Consultant at Unic, a Research Data Scientist at CIEB, a Scientific Collaborator at University of Basel and served as an Economist in the Public Administration for the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs and the Swiss Institute of Intellectual Property

I hold a PhD in Economics from the University of Basel, a M.Sc. in Business and Economics from the same university, and a BA in Contemporary History and Public Economics from the University of Fribourg and the University of California Santa Cruz.
